A succulent by many names...jade plant, lucky plant, money plant or money tree. Great houseplant that requires very little maintenance (hey you brown thumbs...!) Jade plants can grow up to 3' tall and will resemble little trees...inside the home.
Jade Plant
Jade plants requires at least 4 hours of sunlight per day. When young, do not expose to direct sunlight. As your baby matures it will be able to handle more direct sunlight, which is what it prefers. As for temps, Jades do not like frost so do not leave outside during cooler fall months and never in winter. Water, using distilled water if possible, deeply and thoroughly (let the excess drain out completely). Allow soil to completely dry out before watering again. Do not splash leaves during water - and do not spritz, as leaves can rot. Feed using diluted liquid fertilizer once a month and only during growing season.
